Mo is restless in his bed and can't sleep. A mysterious light, which seems to smile at him, invites him to venture into the forest, where all kinds of creatures live, both friendly and terrifying. Mo's nocturnal stroll, a curious cat, will lead him to befriend a wise old owl who encourages him to live the adventure beyond books (although one should always be cautious). Mo will also encounter a family of mice, a squirrel, and some working reindeer who collect mushrooms and have fun. With some, he will cook; with others, he will learn to better prepare for the journey and to greet politely, to talk about what he likes, and also about what frightens him. Together, they will resolve some unexpected problems and also forget their worries to enjoy the moment. Even if a fearsome bear with terrible breath is lurking nearby.
