A number poem to be read and recited with the fingers. A rhyming game book for counting from one to five.

The 'De la cuna a la luna' collection is aimed at children aged 0 to 3, for whom these poetic pictograms or "poegrams" have been specially designed; a term coined to designate a form of pictographic poetry based on seeking a reading rhythm that helps to "educate the eye and sweeten the ear" of the young reader, as Antonio Rubio explains. Óscar Villán -National Illustration Award 1999- has developed the aesthetic proposal for these twelve books. Regarding the content, each volume in the De la cuna a la luna collection is "a poetic exercise of great simplicity and musical force." Thus, the child learns how to read from left to right, from top to bottom, and that turning pages is the progression of verses. With less emphasis on typography, images acquire full communicative power. These are perfectly legible images that are structured in the same way as words, with their syllables counted; they are arranged like verses: ordered, measured, with rhythm and final rhyme; they can be read independently from an early age.
