Old Doña María went up the mountain one day and returned with a box in which she had collected several wild critters to make her loneliness more bearable. It so happened that a curious and somewhat gossipy neighbor wanted to know what was inside. Doña María told her, but the woman understood something that had nothing to do with reality. From then on, a tremendous confusion arose throughout the village, alarming the authorities.
