When the first scientists began studying animal behavior, they didn't dare to speak of friendship.

However, as more animal research was conducted, the scientific community realized that they are not so different from us. Some species also form friendships that can last a lifetime. They like to spend time together, help each other when needed, and feel sad when something bad happens to their companions. Like us, they care about their friends because they too are capable of having emotions.
